Shirobako Twitter Account Posts About 'Unrelated' Movie Project

The official Twitter account of P.A. WorksShirobako animeposted on Thursday that the team is "working on a movie," but clarified that it is unrelated to Shirobako. The post then adds that the movie project is starting to involve more people, and that it is tackling a different subject than the "TV version." Fire Emblem Fates RPG's Western Release Will Not Have 'Petting' Feature

Fire Emblem Fates RPG's Western Release Will Not Have 'Petting' Feature

Feature allows players to "pet" party members to boost affection

Game news website Kotaku confirmed with Nintendo that the North American and European release of its Fire Emblem FatesNintendo 3DS game will remove the "petting" feature present in the game's original Japanese version.
The feature allowed players to "pet" one of their party member's face by rubbing on the screen or tapping on the stylus. Doing so would result in a minor boost in affection.
Nintendo recently revealed the removal of a controversial dialogue segment in the game relating to a character named Soleil, who gets flustered around women. In a conversation with the male protagonist he slips a "magic potion" into her drink without her knowledge, so she magically sees men as women and vice-versa. The idea was to help her "practice" around women, so when the potion wears off she is no longer distracted around them. At the end, she falls in love with the male protagonist.
Nintendo stated regarding the removed conversation that there will be "no expression which might be considered as gay conversion or drugging that occurs between characters," and confirmed that the game's same-sex marriage options will still be present.
Nintendo shipped Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest in Japan on June 25, and will release the games on February 19 in the West. The games are the first games in the franchise to offer a same-sex marriage option.

Mushibugyo Manga Changes New Character's Design, But Editors Deny Plagiarism

Shonen Sunday editors: manga creator Hiroshi Fukuda never heard of Girls Frontline game

The editors of Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine announced on Tuesday that the design for a new character in Hiroshi Fukuda's Jōjū Senjin!! Mushibugyō manga has been changed, after a Twitter post noted that this Mushibugyō character looks like one in the Chinese game app Girls Frontline (Shōjo Zensen). However, the editors denied the accusations of plagiarism and said that Girls Frontline is a "foreign game with a title that the author Hiroshi Fukuda had never even heard of."
"Phantania," a Twitter user self-described as a Chinese student working on Girls Frontline'sdevelopment while studying abroad in Australia, noted the similarities in a January 12 Twitter post. That post has since been deleted:
The design of Girls Frontline's Moselle Kar98k character (shown at left) debuted on August 7, 2015, while the design of Mushibugyō's Onmyō Karakuri Shikigami character Iyo (shown at right) debuted in the manga on January 6, 2016.
The Weekly Shonen Sunday editors stated:
A few days ago, it had been pointed out to us that a new character in Mushibugyōmanga bore some resemblance to a character in a foreign game with a title that the author Hiroshi Fukuda had never even heard of. It is not the intent of the author or the editors to promote unnecessary misunderstanding for this series' long-time fans, so as of the ninth issue, the character design has been changed.
Fukuda serialized the original Mushibugyō manga from 2009 to 2010, and Shogakukan compiled and published three book volumes. Fukuda launched his new Jōjū Senjin!! Mushibugyō manga, which revamps the basic story, in 2011. Shogakukan shipped the 22nd compiled volume earlier this month. The television anime adaptation premiered in 2013.
