Last week, images of cat lingerie sold by by Chinese brand NONORI caught the attention of Japanese netizens. The string bikini bottom features pointed cat ears and the tied tube top-style bra has a cat head-shaped cut-out. The lingerie comes in both black and white.
The feline features stoked a firestorm of fan-art, not unlike last year's cut-out white ribbed turtleneck. Fans immediately began drawing their favorite characters in the outfit.

Grisaia no Meikyuu is the sequel and to Grisaia no Kajitsu, with the second season, Grisaia no Rakuen, beginning right after. Grisaia no Meikyuu will be releasing as one hour special that takes place about a year after Yuuji's arrival at Mihama, where he unexpectedly decides to pursue promotion within CIRS.
This begins the investigation of submitted documents for review that contain information about Yuuji's past.

All of these situations revolve around Yuuji and the new system deep within the CIRS, as the girls of Mihama work together to go against the system, with the help from a mysterious individual known as Thanatos.

Synopsis

Nakajima Atsushi was kicked out of his orphanage, and now he has no place to go and no food. While he is standing by a river, on the brink of starvation, he rescues a man whimsically attempting suicide. That man is Dazai Osamu, and he and his partner Kunikida are members of a very special detective agency. They have supernatural powers and deal with cases that are too dangerous for the police or the military. They're tracking down a tiger that has appeared in the area recently, around the time Atsushi came to the area. The tiger seems to have a connection to Atsushi, and by the time the case is solved, it is clear that Atsushi's future will involve much more of Dazai and the rest of the detectives!

Funimation's Baccano! License to Expire in February

FUNimation Entertainment confirmed in a forum post on Monday that its home video and streaming rights for theBaccano! anime are expiring. The series will be removed fromFunimation's streaming service and the show's website will close on February 8.

Funimation released the series on four DVD singles in the first half of 2009, and released the complete series box set in December of that year, and again in 2010 as part of its Viridian Collection line. Aniplex of America released the series on a limited edition Blu-ray box set in 2011, and re-released it in a standard edition Blu-ray set in 2012.
Baccano! is based on a light novel series of the same name byRyohgo Narita (Durarara!!), and is set in 1930s New York, where a group of colorful individuals interact with alchemists and their elixir of immortality. Several seemingly unrelated plots begin to intertwine as the series continues.

Naruto spinoff novels center on Itachi's past
The Naruto stage program held at the Jump Festa event on Saturday in Tokyo announced that theItachi Shinden (The True Legend of Itachi) spinoff novels will get a TV anime adaptation starting in spring 2016. The official Naruto Movie Twitter account confirmed the news.
TV Tokyo revealed a main visual for the anime featuring the text "In Spring 2016, the Truth arc starts."
TV Tokyo also revealed that the title of the anime will be Naruto Shippūden: Itachi Shinden-hen ~Hikari to Yami~ (Naruto Shippūden: The True Legend of Itachi Volume ~Light and Darkness~).
Shueisha released author Takashi Yano's Itachi Shinden novel in two parts. The Itachi Shinden: Kōmyō-hen (The True Legend of Itachi: Glory Volume, pictured below left) novel shipped on September 4, and the Itachi Shinden: Anya-hen (The True Legend of Itachi: Dark Night Volume, pictured below right) novel shipped on October 2.
Amazon described the first novel as follows:
Itachi Uchiha, age four. After seeing what occurs on the battlefield up close, he makes a certain decision. He decided that he would change the world. The dream that Itachi aimed for. His dream: A Hokage from the Uchiha clan, and a future where those he loved could live in peace. His time in the ninja academy, his meeting with Shisui, becoming a Genin, Chunin, and finally a member of the Anbu... And it described the second novel as follows:
Along with his sworn friend Shisui, Itachi undertakes an assassination mission to take out spies in order to join the Anbu. In addition, the rivalry between the Uchiha clan and the village becomes even more furious, and it finally causes the death of a friend. Having lost all hope in his clan and village, along with gaining a new eye and making a certain decision, Itachi walks into the night of tragedy. The kind yet cruel truth of the dream and hope he left to his brother... is revealed here.
Itachi Shinden and Sasuke Shinden were the first two installments in the Naruto Shinden (NarutoTrue Legend) novel series. Sasuke Shinden (The True Legend of Sasuke) shipped in November.
Shueisha previously published six Naruto epilogue novels earlier this year: Kakashi Hiden, Shikamaru Hiden, Akatsuki Hiden, Gaara Hiden, Sakura Hiden, and Konoha Hiden.
Viz Media has licensed the first three epilogue novels — Kakashi Hiden, Shikamaru Hiden, andSakura Hiden — for English release in North America.

The highly anticipated standard edition releases of Studio Trigger's Kill la KIll action anime will begin on 16th March 2016 with both DVD and blu-ray releases, according to the latest newswire from distributor Anime Limited. That month will also see the release of Sword Art Online II's third Collector's Edition on 28th March, which has been announced to contain the three "Calibur" episodes alongside a currently unconfirmed number from the "Mother's Rosario" story arc.
There have been a number of release date adjustments however; with the Mobile Suit Gundam Part 2 release being held back until 8th February to secure more time for the production of the Limited Edition artbook. Noein: To Your Other Self has also been held back to a currently unfinalised Q1 2016 period pending approvals; with disc authoring delays pushing Fuse: Memoirs Of the Hunter Girl to the same period.
On a more positive note, the newswire has offered a correction for the release of Production I.G's Miss Hokusai; which will be launching on 28th March as opposed to the previously stated 30th March date.

Beyond the Boundary begins with schoolboy Akihito Kanbara stopping a girl from committing suicide by jumping off the school roof - but only because the girl in question is wearing glasses, something he happens to have a fetish for. The girl, whose name is Mirai Kuriyama, responds to his pleas by jumping backwards over the fence surrounding the roof, and then unwrapping a bandage tied around her hand. Mirai removes a ring from her finger, and suddenly blood pours out from the wound that was bandaged. The blood forms into the shape of a sword and Mirai stabs Akihito through the chest - but he lives.
The reason for Akihito surviving is that he is not entirely human. He is half-human and half-yomu, a form of monster created by people's resentments that cannot be seen by most people and take various guises, like animals and humans. Because of this mixture, Akihito is immortal. Mirai is a "Spirit World Warrior", a person who specialises in killing yomu. She is the sole surviving member of a group of warriors who could manipulate their blood. Mirai repeatedly tries to kill Akihito at first, but later Akihito decides to help build up her skills in killing yomu, so Akihito becomes Mirai's "senpai".
As the story progresses, Mirai becomes a better fighter, while Akihito keeps trying to persuade Mirai to join the school literary club that he is a member of. The other members are two sibilings, Mitsuki and Hiroomi Nase, Spirit World Warriors whose mother controls the other warriors in the area. Mitsuki uses a small animal-like yomu to protect herself, while Hiroomi's powers make him sensitive to the cold so he is always wearing a scarf. He also has a "little sister" fetish which Mitsuki hates. The major problem, however, occurs when Akihito seems to lose control of himself, and his violent yomu side takes over.
This series is something of a mixed bag. Starting with the plus points, the animation style is good, with Mirai especially being a very appealing character. With her big red-framed glasses and cardigan, the word "kawaii" is certainly a fitting one to describe her. There is also a lot of comedy to enjoy. One episode features the characters battling a yomu who produces awful smells and thus keeps making the characters stink. The only way to seemingly stop him is for the characters to distract the monster by performing a pop idol routine. The soundtrack is also appealing, both the opening title song, "Beyond the Boundary" performed by Minori Chihara, and the end music "Daisy" by Stereo Dive Foundation are fun to listen to.
However, there are some things about this collection which, to quote Mirai, are "unpleasant." The biggest problem the series has is the plot. Beyond the Boundary feels lazily written, at times you find yourself drifting off when you watch it, and sometimes the story seems a tad confusing. Another problem is the extras. There are extras in this collection: textless opening and closing, Japanese promos, and an original net anime called "Idol Trial!", featuring chibi versions of the main female characters as judges and pop idols. However, one extra that some people were keen to see is missing, namely an OVA prequel episode. I have already spotted some people on AUKN saying that they would rather buy the American release which does feature this episode.
Beyond the Boundary's main appeal is in the visual aspect rather than the story itself. It makes for some mildly entertaining viewing, although some people might be put off by the things that are lacking in this collection.
